They are reporting on our local TV that he did, in fact, have a valid carry permit.

Now it is days later. They still can't or won't confirm that he had a CC permit. Isn't that true ?

All the local channels are saying they can confirm he had a valid CC Permit. I haven’t personally seen it so I don’t know 100% but between newspapers and the local news, yes.
