Nope, have said since last August that I thought Trump had the best chance of getting the nomination and that I would support him if he did.
But so many of Trump’s supporters keep re-opening the bitterness of the fight, keep rubbing salt in the wounds, and keep saying to hell with Cruz and his supporters that it seems as if they want Hillary to win.
It has been over two months since Trump clinched the nomination, and still you find childish insults about Cruz on almost every thread about Trump or the upcoming general election.
During the time for unity and reconciliation, the sore winners on this site still drive actively attempt to drive away 25% of the Republican Primary voters.
Trump can’t win without them and he knows it. That’s why he is reaching out and reconciling. I wish the sore winners on this site would take a cue from their candidate and do likewise.
It’s unrealistic to expect that split to heal until Cruz calls off his nevertrumpers who are still trying to divide the floor vote. JMO. I don’t agree with the nastiness was towards Cruz but at the same time, I won’t trust him until post convention, based in his future actions. Fool me once... Blah blah blah.
Some Trump supporters do carry their anti-Cruz vitriol too far. For many, however, the issue is more vital. They/we see a real possibility of Hillary winning. The reason this possibility exists is first of all election fraud, but second the backstabbing and undermining of people like Ryan and Cruz.
I understand that Cruz supporters may not believe Ted is as bad as Ryan, but he is. Cruz is the one who keeps the convention rebellion movement festering. Had he endorsed early, with a battle cry of defeating Hillary, the convention neverTrumps wouldn’t have had a leg to stand on. By withholding his support in the war against Hillary, Cruz has done the country a profound disservice. That is what keeps the hard feelings against him simmering.
I am a Trump supporter and you are right!
