During testimony before Congress on Thursday, FBI Director James Comey stated that the FBIs interview with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was not under oath or recorded, but it still would be a crime to lie to the FBI.
Comey stated that he did not personally interview Clinton, and did not talk to all of the five or six who did interview Clinton.
He was then asked, did she testify or talk to them under oath? Comey answered, No. But added that its still a crime to lie to us.
When asked if there was a transcript of the interview, Comey stated that there wasnt one because the interview wasnt recorded, but there was an analysis of Clintons interview.

!!!
Isnt lying to the FBI exactly what former speaker Dennis Hastert was charged and convicted for?
That's right. He refused to comment!
Man, I am telling you that I have some experience here . That is completely unwarranted and unprecedented. This entire charade was just theater. This scares me to death. Hillary can now continue to do this if elected president (to avoid foia) . She has already subjected herself to blackmail .This is absolute madness.
I bet there is one. I can only imagine some of the related dirt that was uncovered during this investigation.
...maybe they let this one go because there’s another much bigger (?)
We can dream at least!
What criminally pathetic BS: No transcript, no recording, not under oath and 5 “attorneys” of hers present (including mills...a co-conspirator). We have a criminal government...an illegitimate criminal government.
This give all those who are in prison on the things that hitlery is accused of and given a pass on standing and should demand to be released from their sentences and their records cleared. I mean, if hitlery gets to walk, so should they.
Looks like Comey’s “investigation” was even more “unsophisticaed’ than Hillary's actions
Really, the fix was in long before last Saturday and the Saturday Hillary meeting with the FBI was simply America being played by a criminally corrupt Dept of Justice
Martha Stewart had exactly the same type of interrogation, and she went to jail, because she lied.
This is common practice with the FBI.
No one goes under oath when they make statements or answer questions to the Police or FBI.
And, the FBI has a professional stenographer in the room who records everything that is said.
Why doesn’t the FBI use videotape?
I have no idea.
Maybe they just talked about grandchildren and golf?
Roger Clemens was treated much differently.
Perspective and priorities.
Since she wasn’t under oath and it wasn’t recorded, did it ever happen? Maybe they sat around talking about Grandchildren and Golf for 3 plus hours.
It may not have been recorded, but it may have been captured by voice-to-text (Siri-like) devices and software (which work very, very well in this day and age)
Enough of the hand wringing,
Two things need to happen:
1) Immediate call for Comey to resign from his 7 years remaining as Director
2) If Hillary is elected, on Jan 21, the Republican majority congress need to immediately introduce Articles of Impeachment, regardless of who her VP is.
Make each R incumbent or candidate make that pledge.
To do anything less means this country is irrevocably broken.
NOT RECORDED?????
I can understand not under oath, but even local cops making a bust for some weed will record the defendant’s statements. It’s pretty obvious to me that after the airplane meeting, Comey got his orders to tank the investigation, and he did exactly that.
Good Lord, I have no more respect for the FBI than that agency has for the Rule of Law. Which is less than zero.
Wasn’t recorded??????? I find that hard to believe.
At one point, in the early part of the hearing -during a question being asked of Comey- a man walked up from behind Comey and stood briefly beside him and put a note on the table for Comey to see. Comey picked it up and read it (while the question was still being asked). This stood out to me because this guy did this while Comey was listening to a question. It noticabley distracted Comey. (Perhaps this is irrelevant, but I do wonder if this guy was one of Hillary's attorneys?)
I was a deputy prosecutor for 18 years. If detectives came to me with an investigation where they interviewed the suspect, and didn’t record it I would go ballistic. I would tell them, to their faces, they didn’t have an interview because no recording, as far as I’m concerned it didn’t happen. And I told them they had compromised their case. And I would tell them loud enough for the entire office to hear it. And then there would be a painful phone conversation with their supervisor, while they were in my office, where I asked why his detectives were not recording conversations with suspects. And then I would decline the case.
I only had to do this a few times.
