Violence in Chicago is reaching epidemic proportions. In the first five months of 2016, someone was shot every two and a half hours and someone murdered every 14 hours, for a total of nearly 1,400 nonfatal shooting victims and 240 fatalities. Over Memorial Day weekend, 69 people were shot, nearly one per hour, dwarfing the previous year’s tally of 53 shootings over the same period. The violence is spilling over from the city’s gang-infested South and West Sides into the downtown business district; Lake Shore Drive has seen drive-by shootings and robberies.

Our new Democrat mayor here in Indianapolis campaigned on “law and order” (he was a former fed prosecutor).
First 6 months of his term, shootings are up 25% and his kid just got arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana.
If $hicaho wants to devolve into a third world sewer keep electing the same democrats and supporting the corrupt bureaucracy and you will be Detroit II.
Remember the movie Escape from New York? While walls are being built, when dome with the “southern wall”, the next big project will the Great Wall of Chicago. The payoffs will be immense in size,and the residents will have gained what they have long voted for. (Heaven forbid)
I’ve said it many times before on this forum, and I’m sure I’ll be repeating it again: as long as the ghetto hates the cops more than it hates the gangs, this slaughter will continue.
And the political grandstanding exhibited by slime like Rahm and Obama doesn’t help any in that regard - they’re quite happy to pile on when it comes to dumping on the police.
The politicos don’t care. There is no Whitey around to blame.

The politicians want money to fix it. If they get money to fix it, they will have discovered a fountain that spews cash at them. Why would you fix a problem that is a source of cash for you?

It is my firm belief that mothers have a bond to their children far beyond the comprehension of any male.
I have seen it in action for years, our son, USMC Infantry, three runs in the sand box, two in Fallujah.
When the children are in harms way it is almost visable.
This woman lost her young son, if storytelling helps her in any way... May God grant her a respite from her many troubles.
