You brought back the memory of my Mom and I watching the Watergate hearings, throughout the summer of 1973.
My Mom was a great student of History and current events.
We had many a fine disussion that summer.
I stood up for Nixon, but she was for impeachment.

I will never forget how livid my mom was about Nixon being driven from office.
She said one day history will look back and he will be deemed a good and honorable man.
Of course, she didn’t live to see how bad everything has been corrupted from the government to the historians to the media.
I have a problem with one party in the wrong, trying to correct another party in the wrong. The dems are the dirtiest and the most corrupt bunch of liars there is. I have a problem with the republicans caving... and letting them have their way. I wanted Nixon to fight it... just for that reason... that the dems had NO right to condemn him when they were worse dirty rotten scoundrels.
To me, John was a tattle tail and he sold out to try to save his hide.
