If I were carrying a CONCEALED weapon, the last thing I would tell a cop is “I have a gun”. Concealed means concealed, not all states require notification, and for good reason. This guy would be alive today if he had kept his mouth shut.
That is exactly the right way to handle it, and I’m sure the cops appreciate it.
