Exactly. And landing on the moon wasn’t something impossible and crazy hard. A large number of small things had to be done well, but we make it into some utterly impossible feat.
But from an aviation point of view, all the technology was there. There was a launch. A transit in space to the moon. Arrival at the moon had a certain basket to hit to properly get into orbit.
A lander was released and landed. Then repeat in the other direction.
It was tough, and there were many things that had to be built right. But it was well within the capability of pour engineers back then. It reveals the average persons lack of intelligence to think it is so impossible ...that it must have been faked.
The primary objection I’ve heard is that the radiation in space (the Van Allen belt) etc would make it impossible for any human to survive no matter how insulated.
