As conspiracy theorists would have it, the biggest project that director Stanley Kubrick helmed is the Apollo 11 moon landing of 1969.
For decades, fringe groups have held that the U.S government hired Kubrick to shoot the “fake moon landing.” Now, as NASA’s Juno probe is expected to reach Jupiter this week, Kubrick’s daughter, Vivian, took to Twitter stating “this feels like the right time to respond.”
“There are many, very real conspiracies that have happened throughout our history,” Vivian Kubrick wrote. “But, claims that the moon landings were faked and filmed by my father? I just can’t understand it!!?”(snip)
She added, “… the so called ‘truth’ these malicious cranks persist in forwarding – that my father conspired with the US Government to ‘fake the moon landings’ – is manifestly A GROTESQUE LIE.”

Or simply that the conspiracy was global in scope and that the shadowy international elites are all in on it. Remember the hard cores believe that manned space travel is impossible and that ALL Humans in Space photos are fake.
They already do! Every time there is a crime that gets national attention you can find people who think it was staged. Especially mass shootings. That the victims’ families are actors etc.
The primary objection I’ve heard is that the radiation in space (the Van Allen belt) etc would make it impossible for any human to survive no matter how insulated.

I’ve believed that Ginger Baker’s been dead since I was just a kid. I was downright shocked when I read that he’s still alive. Those old rumors of the sort Paul McCartney was dead, way back long ago. But Mama Cass choking on a ham sammich was real, sort of.
You have heard this from sources that do no know better. The Van Allen Belts are charged particles that can be easily stopped by very little shielding. If a a naked person ventured there, the radiation would be harmful pretty fast. Of course, the astronauts were in an aluminum, ceramic, and nickel capsule. Exposure time is another factor that determines whether or not radiation is harmful. The trans-lunar trajectory took the astronauts through a low energy region of the belts; and, they were there for only a short time. The total dosage for passing through was about that sustained during a chest X-ray.
