Actually, I think your point is why Newt as CofS instead of VP makes Ryan irrelevant. It would be a huge middle finger to Paulie Ryno to have Newt in that position as it would make him in essence the Speaker of the House inside the Trump admin. Newt is a natural leader and ideas guy and House members would naturally gravitate to him as opposed to the little puke Ryan.

Ernst is a conservative who served in Kuwait and wants to abolish the IRS. OK by me. Rookie? Yep but she's served longer in government than Trump has. I would not write her off. We need more like her in the Senate. Having said that I have no problem leaving her where she is. The purpose of the VP is to help get Trump elected. That's about it.
