“Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”When this has been entrenched for decades, they will of course work somewhat hard to keep it concealed from the public. However, at this point, they clearly believe that enough of the public morality has been corrupted to the point where the vast majority will either be aligned with them morally (demonstrated by their becoming more transparent in their intentions of late) or not enough will be able to wake up to it; if people stay asleep after this, then the nightmare will be sleepwalked into for sure.
