No kidding. I recall in Vietnam I had burnbag burn duty, inside of a secure area, inside of a secure area. I left the burn barrel for a few minutes. When I returned the S2 officer was waiting. I found myself in his office, then the commanders all wanting to reduce my grade by A15. Fortunately my supervisor, a W4, stepped in and saved me.

A platoon leader in another battery lost his CEOI on a field exercise, when the chain broke. Although he was a ring knocker, his career was over from that point.

From this day forth, I will advise anyone who asks me to stay away from serving in the military. Our civilian "leadership" is not worth shedding one drop of blood.
