Just had a good look at the coast of Maine on google. Wow - it’s certainly a busy coastline! And all of those islands. Looks very nice. Is it expensive to live on one of those nice islands? I think the one I liked was Mahogen? Or something like that.
One of those little islands will set you back a couple of million or more should you try to buy one!

However, if you miss the ferry, you will be stuck on the mainland or stuck on the island.
When the “summer people” come back to their expensive homes on the islands, they treat the locals like crap.

Loved the public beach at Islesborough. If I ever had a second home it would be there at a nearby house.
