But if the shooters are black, I can make puerile remarks about the Amish!

You are incorrect. I don’t care a whit. As soon as the op couldn’t answer a simple question, it simply was time to have some fun.

“...were in the process of celebrating the life of a recently deceased relative, whose funeral was earlier in the day. “

Video says “family patriarch.” My guess was going to be a recently deceased “teen” gangbanger family member.

I would think that someone would have changed that before mid-century.

It's their name. Eskenazi is a very common Jewish name that means "German." Ashkenazy is another form of it. Should Vladimir Ashkenazy have changed his name? I think he did pretty well with it.

I think when you have a media firestorm over a white police officer shooting a black suspect and hear very little about black on black shootings (at a family gathering), it leads to people highlighting situation like this and those same people raising the question are they black when they hear about a shooting at a family gathering.

And you nailed the beautiful symmetry of it all. You don’t care if I care. You don’t care if I don’t care. And I don’t care either way.
