It’s giving aid and comfort the media that’s trying to destroy Trump. It’s an attack. You don’t publicly frag the people you support. If they need correction, you do it in private.

Frankly, I really don't know the answer to your question. Could it be that Rubio attacked Cruz based on political differences (even though specious) during the campaign? While Trump attacked Cruz and his family with nasty, personal insults?
