I spend a lot of time in Central Park during the workweek but normally not there on weekends. I find it a very safe place and a sanctuary from the bustling city. Sometimes I take an extended lunch hour and walk down the middle of it back to my midtown office all the way from 110th street. I take the subway up to the top and walk all the way down. Normally a very tranquil area mostly full of friendly tourists and locals. Will monitor this situation closely.
