“Running for President” for eighteen months, or more, guarantees that voters will be sick of you on Election Day. Coming in at the last minute avoids the problem.

Biden is an imbecile. Having said that, you’re probably right that he’s a better candidate than Hillary - in the abstract. Hillary - again, in the abstract - is a terrible candidate. But she has money, an organization, and the media behind her. Biden has no money, no organization, no nothing. Trump would obliterate him.
