You are correct but missed a small point. The FBI isn’t really going to ask her any questions. They will give her an opportunity to explain anything she wants and say whatever she wants to try to clear herself. They will not ask any relevant questions because they don’t have to. They know she has lawyered up. They would have to read her Miranda Rights if they asked about any specific items. That is not going to happen with a few dozen lawyers present.
The whole purpose of this exercise is so the FBI can say they gave her an opportunity to clear her name of the pending allegations. They do not have to speak with her. They do not have to do anything but present their findings to DOJ. The entire email?FBI investigation is about “playing out the clock”. Dean Smith at UNC would call it the Four Corners.
...The FBI isnt really going to ask her any questions....
Exactly, they already have all the info they need to recommend prosecution. They will let her try to clear herself, but those will be only leading questions, designed to see if she is coming clean or still trying to cover up a crime the FBI already knows has been committed.
