Hillary Clinton has been interviewed Saturday by the FBI about her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill says in a statement the voluntary interview with federal agents took place Saturday.

I disagree with the popular thought that burying this on a long weekend is detrimental to the story. In fact in the era of mobile devices I think just the opposite will happen
“Voluntary” as in she complied. If she had refused to go
‘involuntary’ FBI interview, I suspect handcuffs and force would have been necessary.

Yes, it was either voluntary or under subpoena.
The optics of being subpoenaed were the deciding factor here.
Another Debbie Downer here on Free Republic. I have too much faith in FBI agents to think they'd willingly participate in a coverup. The way they pulled up to her house this morning - they mean business. And they are not conducting a "security inquiry" nor would they expend all that time and resources for a minor misdemeanor.
To loosely paraphrase an FBI-related Sopranos quote: "If we were here to bust up a card game, I'd have a donut in my mouth."
Another negative nellie. Were you in that room? The FBI doesn't show up for just a cup of coffee. They are engaged in a CRIMINAL investigation. It's what they do. 3.5 hours is a long time for an interview. Probably seemed like 12 hours for Crooked Hillary. And if the bulk of her answers revolved around taking the 5th, than why hang around much longer?
The FBI doesn't play games or engage in "theatrics." They investigate crimes. Serious crimes. You seriously think FBI agents would show up at an empty house and "pretend" to interview somebody?
Do you really believe that FBI agents would show up at Crooked Hillary's residence on a Saturday morning - a holiday weekend Saturday morning - for a continental breakfast and a perverted lap dance?
This is serious business. There is nothing silly and inconsequential about having a caravan of FBI agents pull up to your house on a Saturday morning.

News blackout? Everywhere I go this is the top story. Why the Debbie Downer routine? If the FBI intended to whitewash this, as you seem to imply, they certainly wouldn't be ruining their Independence Day weekend to get in the "obligatory" interview. Not to mention ruining hers. And I'm pleased as punch that Crooked Hillary spent her Independence Day weekend on the hot seat. I doubt she'll be getting much quality sleep going forward.

Definitely legal peril for Hillary. Not defending her by any means, but, she doesn't know everything they know and virtually anything she says can be construed as obstruction of justice. Anyone not in politics would be wise to decline this interview. No charge? Don't talk.

It's Saturday morning on Independence Day weekend. The FBI doesn't show up at your house just for milk and cookies. This is serious business and Crooked Hillary is about to get her comeuppance.

This isn't 1973 when the only options for news on a holiday weekend is the 7 o'clock news on three stations. Everybody is buried in mobile devices practically 24/7. Social media is crackling with the news that a caravan of FBI agents pulled up to Crooked Hillary's house this morning. We are in a connected world and for better or for worse, nobody completely "tunes out" the news just because it's a holiday weekend.
That the FBI would show up on Saturday morning on Independence Day weekend underscores the seriousness of the situation. Bet they didn't have donuts in their mouths when they knocked on her door.
