Reporter Christopher Sign of ABC 15 in Phoenix, AZ appeared on The O’Reilly Factor Thursday night to talk about his scoop involving that secret meeting between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
Watch the entire interview below. Sign lays out how the story developed and then he leaves this little nugget:
“The former president steps into her plane. They then speak for 30 minutes privately. The FBI there on the tarmac instructing everybody around ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones.'”
First of all, it isn’t the FBI’s job to tell journalists or private citizens they can’t take photographs of a former president and the Attorney General. What were the agents going to do, arrest people for taking a picture or video?
Also, if there was nothing wrong with the meeting and it was totally innocent, why were federal agents instructed to demand no one take a picture?
Finally, let’s stop focusing on the fact that this meeting was inappropriate because Clinton’s wife is under investigation by Lynch’s Justice Department. I mean, that’s bad, but it’s actually letting Lynch and Clinton off the hook a bit. By focusing on the appearance of conflict because Hillary Clinton is being investigated, we are willfully overlooking the very real conflict in the fact that Clinton himself is under investigation, as the Grand Poo-bah at the Clinton Foundation. What was the FBI doing there in the first place? I understand that Clinton has SS protection. I also understand that Loretta has a security escort, but is that always provided by the FBI, or does DOJ have it's own security?
If the FBI provides DOJ security, then the agents accompanying her would probably feel they had to do what she ordered. However, if the FBI specially detailed these men to provide additional security for this meeting...

He reported FBI agents kept people from taking photos etc. wonder if he confused FBI with US SC ?
Ford pardoned Nixon comprehensively for a range of dates, any actions taken during the entire Nixon term of office. There had not yet been any indictment(s).
So yes, a presidential pardon can shut everything down forever, although it would have to be limited to dates in the past (a pardon for future actions would amount to the executive making legislation, I read somewhere regarding presidential pardons).

Two takeaways from this:

The fact that Clintoon’s visit cannot be quickly and decisively confirmed (as a golf outing lol) is most interesting.... if he really was there to play golf it would have been a simple matter to confirm when and where he played. The “golf” cover story falling apart???
Too many unanswered questions ...
This meeting seems to be well coordinated.

The private meeting took place on the west side of Sky Harbor International Airport on board a parked private plane.
Former President Clinton was visiting the Phoenix area and arrived to Sky Harbor Monday evening to depart.
Sources tell ABC15 Clinton was notified Lynch would be arriving at the airport soon and waited for her arrival.
Lynch was arriving in Phoenix for a planned visit as part of her national tour to promote community policing.
ABC15 asked Lynch about the meeting during her news conference at the Phoenix Police Department.
“I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane,” said Lynch.
The FBI has made itself a joke.
It is the protector, if not the engine,

If I see one more talking head (Peter Johnson yesterday) talk about what a wonderful prosecutor Lynch is, I am going to puke. Her first loyalty is to the tribe and not simply the tribe you think. It’s the Rat tribe.
Wouldn’t that airport have lots of surveillance cameras on the tarmac and ramps for security review in case there were to be some sort of incident? Even gas stations have cameras covering the pumps.
Clinton pardoned Marc Rich. I (sadly) expect nothing less from obama.
