No Congress, Dim or RINO, would dare impeach the first female president. Just look at Congress during Obama. And as for affecting policy towards the Russians, how could anyone tell? She would say the same regardless of blackmail.
The Russians would be wise to release them before the convention, so as to tamp down any flood of MSM adulation, but before the election, in any case.
They would have no choice if documents released to the public were of Secret or Top Secret nature..........
The public would demand it as well as the current MSM acolytes.
