The intent wasn’t to be a grammar nazi, just to point out the degradation in the language that has led to this type of lazy inarticulacy.

I totally agree about the degrading of the language. It disturbs me that the vulgarity “p***ed off” has become normal on TV & radio, where `irritated’ or `annoyed’ would convey the same meaning.
