U.S. Rep. Dave Brat, R-7th, says former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich would be Donald Trump’s smartest choice for a running mate.
In an appearance Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Brat promoted his new book, “American Underdog: Proof that Principles Matter.”
Brat was asked who would be the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s smartest choice politically for vice president.
“I think Newt,” said Brat, referring to Gingrich, the former Georgia congressman who served as House speaker from 1995 to 1999.
Gingrich is “politically savvy, he’s forward-looking” on innovation and technology, is “always ahead of the curve” and “has more books out than anyone up there,” Brat said...

I disagree.
Newt is to old. Trump needs to pick someone at least 20 years younger who can carry the torch. After Trump we don’t want to open the primary back up to GOPe meddling.
It’s been rumored Trump turned down 200 million campaign donation because he had to take Gingrich as VP to get it. Don’t be fooled DJT, Newt is establishment.
I’ve been thinking Tom Cotton from the beginning. Young, fresh face, clean and clean-cut, decorated veteran, an academic, well-spoken, respected by both the Tea Party and Establishment wings of the party, married, one son.

I disagree, and the reason is there have been very good people (in my opinion) of color and/or women who have been all but destroyed by the left. Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, Alan West, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and Dan Quayle are a few who come to mind, but there are more.
Full disclosure: when the time came to support these people I did, and strongly. And I will continue to be a Bachmann, Palin, West, Keyes, and Quayle advocate if/when they need it.
I didn’t really finish what I wanted to.
My point is that the left will attempt to destroy anyone who gets in the way of their agenda, regardless of race, gender, or anything else.
Conversely, they will support anyone who supports their agenda (or can be a useful tool).
Pfft. She might not be a Beyonce’, but she’s definitely NOT a MOOCHELLE.

And I don’t think Ms. Rice is bad looking either, certainly not like...you know who. I may have also insinuated that as well but that was not my intent.
