So until now they have felt relatively safe from air strikes? Otherwise it makes no sense to lay yourselves out as an easy target. I mean I have no personal military experience but it seems like a common sense defensive tactic not to drive long distances in large groups without air cover. Though others say this ‘convoy’ may not have been so large....

He pretty much slammed Trump’s ‘tone’....echoing 0bola...regarding our need for diplomacy with our allies in the ME.
I was truly disappointed, as I recall being (somewhat) impressed with this General during the Katrina aftermath.
He went on to say that ‘this war on terrorism could take decades...maybe even three decades’ to complete. Unreal.

Ask the DOD public affairs officers if videos of the air strikes exist and if so, when will they be available to the public on YouTube or DOD site.

I used to get a lot of post-strike photos from DDI during the Vietnam war, mainly over NVN. Some great ones of SAM anti-aircraft missile sites located on civilian dikes (Baby Jane said we were deliberately targeting the dikes in order to flood NVN and kill millions. Well, if anyone knew about dykes, it was Jane).

You are right - we did not recognize or address the threat of ISIS soon enough. However, history will show after the brainwashed MSM and academics today die off that ISIS was mostly created by the power vacuum of the Arab Spring. Thanks to this administration.......
Well one thing is certain, that we need the Arab countries to fight them on their home turf, and not to sponsor extremism etc. There are lots of complications, such as recent news that Jordan was allowing our arms shipments to get pilfered and sold in the black market. But all this would seem to support Trumps idea that we should severely restrict immigration from this region until we get a handle on it. Pressuring our allies is absolutely necessary and the threat of a travel ban is a heck of a lot of pressure.
The fact that our weapons are stolen and sold, or as Trump said we abandoned thousands of working condition heavy machinery on the field just shows the level of incompetence, lack of accountability and/or lack of consideration in government. This kind of negligence permeates all layers and levels of government. There is no incentive at all for officials to do the right thing.
Political pressure is on the White Mosque, so they cooked up this story.

Trump should take the videos of their convoys and make a campaign commercial out of it....... We have lost so many chances to strike them hard because of the ridiculous rules of engagement and layers of bureaucracy that lie between target acquisition and firing.
