About 10 years ago, Family Research Council put out a book called “Getting it Straight” that summarizes many studies on “gays.” The more acceptance they find, the more the negative consequences. If the problem were acceptance, then domestic violence among gays should be the same as among heterosexuals, instead of fivefold higher.

Back in the late seventies, when I got sober, a group of gay men began attending AA meetings at the group I belonged to. I got to know one of them fairly well. He had been involved with AA for quite some time and spent much of his time reaching out to fellow gay men. He told me that between a third and a half of all gay men were alcoholics and/or addicts.

True.

Just examine the timeline. The first real across-the-board affirmation occurred in 1973, when homosexuality (through terroristic threats made against many in the APA) was "depathologized" in the DSM - no longer a mental illness. It was only a few short years afterward that AIDS broke out and decimated not only hundreds of thousands of homosexual men, but also the collateral damage of innocents killed through blood transfusions.

I have yet to hear an apology from the queers.
