They’ll be joining Bernie and their Marxist Professors to turn every American workplace into a democracy within a decade.
Interns would be in a probation period.
They failed probation.
I received the same exact variance from my company because I needed a flat sole with my prosthetic leg to keep my balance from pitching forward...
ba bye snowflake
Gee, I guess those in charge didn’t realize how ‘thought out and well reasoned’ the snowflakes argument was.......bwahahahahaha!
Interns “demand”...
Gone in 30secs.
Welcome to the real world.
They’re interns....
LOL!! Fools!
“DOH! Anybody smell a law suit for unlawful termination? I wouldn’t put it past the genteel snowflakes.”
Duh. These were interns, not regular employees. Obviously not doing their job if spending all that time on a proposal to change the dress code and citing an existing ‘violation’ that was actually an approved variance ...
The worst part is that just before the meeting ended, one of the managers told us that the worker who was allowed to disobey the dress code was a former soldier who lost her leg and was therefore given permission to wear whatever kind of shoes she could walk in.
As my mom used to say...
Demand in one hand, s#!t in the other...see which one fills up first.
Buh-Bye!
Someone looked at how they thought it was important to spend their time and (ightly)decided they had their priorities mixed up.
Hopefully they will learn more from this brief internship than most.

They may not realize it now, but this experience has taught them some important life lessons. If only they can understand what some.of those lessons are.
I’m sure the interns were shocked, since they were rewarded for the same behavior in school.
Aww... damn.
Another case of real life not imitating academia.
The hardest thing for recent graduates to learn when seeking employment is that everything is the reverse of what it was in school. You are no longer the center of the universe—the corporation is. And what you have to do to get employed and stay employed is convince your interviewer that you want to and are able to help the corporation achieve its goals.
If you do that, and follow through, you don’t have to worry about anything else, except maybe getting someone to advise you on what to wear.
Welcome to the real world where nobody gives a damn about your complaints.
