Recently a freeper used the non-word “wahla”. I was shocked.
TOP DEFINITION
Wahla
This is a word used by people who don’t know how to spell the French word “voila.” It is used to indicate either surprise or something akin to “Eureka!” or “A-hah!”
We spend more and more tax dollars for our public schools and receive nothing for it.

I have been posting to this site for a rather long time. When I first began to post, I realized that I had to really dumb down my vocabulary, because a lot of the time, my posts and the words therein, soon became the topic of debate/conversation, and NOT the threads' topics. :-(
But "Wahla" ????????? O-M-G !

LOL, I heard that word “wahla” a lot growing up, it must be slang - maybe Nebraska or Missouri. Or maybe Portuguese.
It was used in the context of “here it is” “here she is”, not eureka! or ahah.
