Fifteen years after President George W. Bush first sent American forces into Afghanistan, his wife considers the job unfinished. “I hope we won’t leave,” former First Lady Laura Bush said on Monday.
She cited the conversations she’s had with Afghan women, who worry about what follows the exit of U.S. forces. “They hope that our troops won’t leave too fast,” she said, “because if we leave there’s a vacuum. And they saw what happened in Iraq, where it just wasn’t successful for us to leave.” And she applauded the progress that Afghan women had made over the past decade and a half. “That’s one of the reasons I hope we won’t withdraw our troops—because we would have to start all over again,” she said.

If you loved W, you’ll love Hillary.
She is NOT a “nice lady”. Neither is her husband and father law or mother law or brother in law nice people. The Clintons, Bushes, and Obamas are all in cahoots together. Going into Afghanistan after 9-11 and crushing the life out of those Talibanistas was a good thing, just like wiping out Saddam. But Americans should have just pulled the hell out afterwards and let the locals deal with the situation. We loose lives and money trying to civilize savages. When they are ready to be civilized, they will take care of it themselves. The important thing is to deliver a message : screw with us or our allies and you are dead meat and don’t expect us to rescue you after the dust clears.
It’s refreshing to see so many folks fully aware that the Bushes are traitors and enemies of America.

We have both a niece and nephew currently on deployments in the Middle East. We are very proud of them and the jobs that they are doing there. But, we cannot stay there forever. It does not matter what we do, how much money we spend, or how many lives are sacrificed... there is no good resolution for Afghanistan. As soon as we leave it will revert back to what it was before.
If I had my way we’d be educating Afghan women on Christianity and the use of arms to defend themselves.

The only reason to attack Afghanistan was to get Osama bin Laden. The real culprits were Saudis. We should have bombed both countries.

It seems that if we don’t HAVE to win a war, ie for existential purposes, then we won’t. Napoleon said, “If you’re going to take Vienna, take Vienna.” But if you’re going in with limited objectives and cramped rules of engagement, do us all a favor and stay home.
How many good men and women died or were permanently marred by this policy. That’s failed.

I didn't even realize she was in Afghanistan. I assumed she was living in Texas.
