Fifteen years after President George W. Bush first sent American forces into Afghanistan, his wife considers the job unfinished. “I hope we won’t leave,” former First Lady Laura Bush said on Monday.
She cited the conversations she’s had with Afghan women, who worry about what follows the exit of U.S. forces. “They hope that our troops won’t leave too fast,” she said, “because if we leave there’s a vacuum. And they saw what happened in Iraq, where it just wasn’t successful for us to leave.” And she applauded the progress that Afghan women had made over the past decade and a half. “That’s one of the reasons I hope we won’t withdraw our troops—because we would have to start all over again,” she said.

Why should we care what ANY Bush has to say?

Many of us know why an Obama was elected president and we know why the wrong nation was attacked after 9/11. Saddam and Iraq’s fate was sealed by the Bushes and the Saudis.
And Iraq will be Vietnam, part III.
There are those who will blame Obama for all that. But Obama is in the Nixon/Ford role here. Vietnam is on LBJ. Afghanistan is on Bush.
They belong in Gitmo, with their best friends, the Bin Laden clan.
It’s a brave new world now in the US Armed Forces, Laura. Get your daughter twins and y’all go suit up for some back to back deployments in Afghanistan. You can embrace and preach transgender and abortion issues with the muslim natives.
We never should have gone into Afghanistan. As soon as we leave, the govt. army will surrender to the Taliban and/or ISIS, and it will be Vietnam Part II. Another complete waste of American lives and treasure.

For a long time, I have pondered exactly what our exit from Afghanistan will look like. In Iraq, divisions just simply drove out. But in Afghanistan, our troops would have to go through a treacherous route through some Stanistan garbage states, or a massive airlift would be needed.
It goes without saying that most of the equipment will be left behind (I hope we are smart enough to destroy it and don’t give it to some mujahedeen)...and very similar to the marines on the roof in Viet Nam, things could get very dicey for the last Americans there.
I personally desire complete and lasting withdraw from the Middle East, forever. We should clamp down hard on immigration and deport millions and employ our full resources to the restoration of our nuclear arsenal and our military readiness. I don’t care what happens in Afghanistan . I care what happens here. If another country attacks this soil, We turn them to smouldering cinders.

Well past time to flush this toilet. This is a “territory” ruled by war lords and other tribal people. It will never be civilized or have an orderly life. No more American blood and treasure should be spent trying to do the unachievable.
ISLAM MUST BE ANNIHILATED. The sooner the better.

Stupid Laura had the Methodist do-gooder, self-righteous pride, but it never got her an invite to Martha’s Vinyard. She was a stealth saboteur of conservatism, lovin’ her some abortion, homosexuality, and of course the squad of illegals to wait on her hand and foot.
