Yeah, but Hillary isn’t a “charity”, so it doesn’t count.

Actually, this article is probably defining “charity” incredibly narrowly in order to be able to make their claim.

It was to her foundation which is a charity per IRS.

Yes, there are documented examples of Trump donating to individuals—which of course wouldn’t count as charitable giving.

Also, both he and his son Eric have foundations that together have given away tens of millions of dollars:
