Wonderful summary of a proud history! Its funny, Americans don’t always acknowledge our own historical ties with Britain as passionately- but they run every bit as deep. Most of this nation is white & most of the whites are of Anglo Celtic heritage. Our language, our customs, our culture runs deep with that heritage. It is true that Britain made mistakes with her American colonies by not allowing more local control. However, 250 years later, like Australia & Canada & New Zealand, Britain remains our motherland. We are all part of the Anglosphere. I’ve long believed we should rejoin the Commonwealth, as we are part of of that same family of nations. I have an incredible amount of respect for the Queen!
