It was the GOP that destroyed the GOP.

They are not who they said they were, and they have exposed themselves as frauds.

Trump helped to expose some of them for sure, but I am not sure that Trump would have experienced his rise this primary had the GOP done any, even one thing, that it was elected to do.

It totally betrayed its base, and basically spit in the face of anyone who dared to ask why.

And that’s all it wants to do to this very day.

I don’t know if it’s fixable or even worth fixing. The whole damned thing just sucks. it is totally unresponsive to its base, and despises its own base.

It kind of makes me laugh, though: the GOPe is the one now leaving the party to Trump! I thought they’d be framing Donald as not Republican, but they seem to be abandoning the party to him! Maybe we can change the party!
