Who does protectionism really protect? https://twitter.com/marklevinshow/status/747818395719057408 Sean In Philadelphia @Sean_in_Phila 1h1 hour ago
@marklevinshow Interesting question--but no bearing on Trump. He wants FAIRNESS..not isolationism.Keep trying to brand him things he is not.

@marklevinshow - try telling the full truth. Threats of trade tariffs are just that, threats, to get our trade partners back to the table

@marklevinshow You try this misbranding often. You call us "populists, agrarians, protectionists" when we are not. Intellectually dishonest.

@marklevinshow This is What Protectionism protects American's from "arshole"!

I'll also add that Mark said at the end of the show yesterday that he "never lies" to us and we are his family. He may not lie but he is sneaky. He called the caller who said tarrifs were in the constitution, "sneaky." But that is exactly what Mark has become.

@marklevinshow Dispite your dishonesty Trump is also for free trade. But what we have now is not free trade but Chamber of Commerce whoring.
The small part I listened to today, he said that despite the fact the original Constitution called for tariffs to be the primary income source for the government, since the country has since switched to an arguably un-Constiutional federal income tax, we can no longer levy tariffs against anyone since we now have the income tax. How absurd is this? And how hypocritical is that line of thinking coming from someone who claims they are a strict Constitutionalist. As outrageous as it is, Levin would rather tax Americans for income, than foreign governments for trade!
