Point being, an investigation is now what is the big deal. Obama or his minions could initiate an investigation of Trump, and the press would dutifully report it as very damaging, notwithstanding that it is BS. What makes the Hillary investigation important is that it has turned up mountains of evidence of criminal behavior.

No it isn’t. They are investigating his accountants’ entries, not Trump.
Agents are checking documentary evidence regarding Trump's income and expenses and determining whether he paid sufficient taxes and whether his statements to the IRS were accurate. The result could be no change, or a civil fine, or in certain events, criminal prosecution. It is most definitely an investigation. Focus on what is important, not on the word "investigation".

That is correct. Do you think Trump filed his own taxes? I think his return is a foot thick. It took many accountants many hours to roll that out, and Obama has a grudge against him.
The vast difference between Hillary and Trump is that Hillary knowingly, with malice aforethought, ordered, by her authority as Secretary of State, the circumvention of stated laws of security of the the nation and placed the nation at risk. That is just referring to the emails.
If you really cannot see the difference, then there is no point in pursuing this discussion.

Then YOU posted that Trump was under investigation also and trying to make the two investigations co-equal.
Trump is NOT being investigated in the same fashion as Hillary. He is being investigated by the IRS in the manner of his accountants being called in to prove what they submitted. Of course Trump signed it.
Only a douche bag would try to claim that the one cancels out the other as far as running for president. The MSM doesn’t even try that. The other sixteen presidential candidates did not.
