I think it is now safe to say that Paul Ryan is no longer a conservative Republican, nor is he pro-American for that matter. Keep in mind that Paul Ryans contributions come largely from outside of his own district. Currently some 80% plus of all of Ryans contributions to his re-election campaign come from OUTSIDE of his own 1st District of Wisconsin. Stunningly, around 65% of Ryans contributions come from WITHIN the beltway of Washington, D.C.
Pondering this statistic, one has to ask themselves, so who is it that is donating so heavily to Paul Ryan and then why are they donating so heavily? As my grandfather used to say, if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it aint a goose. The bottom line is, Ryan is being paid off with large campaign contributions by lobbyist, Super-PACs and special interest groups for his support of selling out his own district.
Basically, it works like this. I own a major corporation. I want to increase profits. I spread some payola around Capitol Hill, get myself a sweetheart tax deal done with deductions for relocating to some nation I cannot even pronounce then relocate. I used to pay $25 an hour labor rate here in Kentucky and Iowa, now I pay $2 a day in Thailand. My profits soar, I get tax deductions and my stockholders are elated. Oh, and I dont have to pay Obamacare either.

I’m sure Jim Has better things to do—but we should be aware that healthy skepticism is a good thing here and that there are Estab types who hate us. You can run little tests yourself—when different personas seem to be “on message”—such as this silly “Ryan can’t lose. Give up now”—check them out yourself, and post what you see. There have been other times that I’ve found the exact same join-up date with these astroturFreepers.
I agree, completely.
Calls should be made to this “TEA” group. Who’s the mole in the group?
Ping to #27.
And dark years.
Or you don’t have a clue what Paul Ryan stands for...
Ah, the Inquisition begins...
Sadly, (at best) you choose to ignore Lyin’ Ryan’s record of pure Establishment & Muzzoid support.
Clearly you are in a VERY, VERY small minority here at FR who continue to be sucked into Lyin’ Ryan’s lies.
By the way, it’s Jim Robinson....I don’t bother researching histories in here, but that mistake alone would lead a conspiracist to mark you as a plant of some sort....sauce for the goose and all that...
Good deflection. No need for inquisition, you have admitted to being a RYNO. The only question that a poster had, that I thought was interesting, was whether some of the old accounts had been hacked. It could be that a lot of people who have been here a long time are just idiots. We don’t know which it is.
>>But in my alleged mind,....<<
Now there’s a classic.
That you caught me calling the owner of this site Jim Thompson and don't understand the basis for the "mistake" outs you as someone who is not a genuine participant in this forum. Are you back from the Clinton '98 war room?
“I think it is now safe to say that Paul Ryan is no longer a conservative Republican, nor is he pro-American for that matter. Keep in mind that Paul Ryans contributions come largely from outside of his own district.”
Could this problem be solved by passing a law that Politicians can accept money ONLY from the district they seek to represent ?? Representative Democracy ?
>>Clearly you are in a VERY, VERY small minority here at FR....<<
Sadly, you’re right. That didn’t used to be the case, but the Trumpsters have pretty much driven anyone who actually wants to engage in rational discussions of politics elsewhere. Many have actually been banned for simply stating what they believe.
I’ve erased several replies of my own over the past few months because I didn’t want to have the usual suspects telling Jim that I deserved the dreaded “Zot”. In fact, that’s a consideration now, in this thread, all because I don’t share the Trump supporters’ opinions of Paul Ryan, who I personally consider one of the most honorable members of Congress, whether he be Speaker or not.
He’s done a great deal to bring order to the process in the short time he’s held the Speakership and if Trump wins he’ll gain a tremendous benefit from all the organizing that Ryan has already accomplished in terms of lining up the agenda for the next term, and for the upcoming election as well.
But hey, Lyin’ Ryan rhymes, so let’s go with it. That’s about the extent of the depth of the discussion anyway.
By the way, for those of you who run one presumed transgression up the flag pole and base your entire opinion of Ryan on that, ask yourselves what you’d have thought of any other politician other than Trump who took an NRA endorsement and then backed them into a corner. When you end up on a Democrat-generated No-Fly list someday in your local gun store, you’ll have the Donald to thank for not being able to make your purchase. Not that it’s really going to happen, however, because Ryan won’t let it, along with most of the other GOPers in Congress whom people in here regularly deride.
Yep, that’s the way to pigeonhole yourself as someone who has no interest in engaging in a rational discussion: either the other guy is a hacker plant, or he’s an idiot.
Why do you bother? All that means is that you enjoy insulting people. Or do you imagine that you’re actually convincing? Or just looking for “good boy” slaps on the back from those who think exactly like you? Nothing of value comes from it.
you underestimate the band wagon effect. many want to climb on the band wagon so they can raise their own self esteem by belonging. they come to believe what ever seems the popular way to think
I wonder why you signed up in 1998 but didn’t post until 2005. Funny.
Yes, or you’re a raving conspiracy nut...
Sadly, (at best) you choose to ignore Lyin Ryans record of pure Establishment & Muzzoid support.
...and pushing through Comrade Obamatollah's agenda of NO BORDERS and AMNESTY for 40+ MILLION ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS.
Good grief....you're, at best, a Stalinesque "Useful Idiot"
No, I think he’s an operative.
Then your search had a glitch in it. Even if it didn’t, 11 years wouldn’t satisfy you? Good grief.
