It’s been a little crazy..
Our nephew got married, which is wonderful!
But a week later, his best man was killed by a hit and run driver.
Horrid!
On the upside, his new band is doing awesome!

SEATTLE CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL PREVIEW

PROKOFIEV: SONATA FOR 2 VIOLINS IN C, OP. 56

This July 22 performance features Noah-Bendix-Baigley and David Chan on violins.

Serge wrote this piece in 1932 while on the French Riviera. It’s in four movements patterned on the Baroque church sonata: “andante cantabile,” “allegro,” “comodo quasi allegretto,” and “allegro con brio.” As with most Prokofiev, this is not for wussies.

Next weekend it’s Haydn, Prokofiev, Mozart, Strauss, Britten and Poulenc.
