The challenge with this approach is that Hillary would then be subject to subpoena without an ability to take the Fifth. This should make some of her co-conspirators pretty uncomfortable.

The same was true of Nixon after Ford's pardon, but nobody seemed to want to question an ex-President. Hillary doesn't have that kind of protection.
