Members of the "Free the Delegates" movement are expected to file separate lawsuits in Arizona and Virginia on Friday, challenging the constitutional restraints on binding delegates to a candidate at next month's Republican National Convention.
A source familiar with the forthcoming court filings claimed that some individuals seeking to unbind all 2,472 delegates in Cleveland next month are being intimidated by state-level GOP officials. In some cases, the source said, party leaders have threatened to revoke delegates' credentials to the national convention.
Regina Thomson, who serves as executive director of Free the Delegates, could not be reached for further details. Earlier this week, the group claimed to have more than 300 delegates committed to their effort.

WOW! Short fuse, much?
I’m not asking on a personal basis. You aren’t the first/only person to make such a threat about never voting again. I honestly wanted to know why anyone might think such a threat meant diddly to the elites and if you had more active plans in case your worst fears materialize.
But I guess you simply wanted to vent, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Oh, and I’m 73 and counting, thanks for asking.
What exactly is the legal theory they are advancing? I have yet to see it described.
Agree, we need the names. Do these people really think that from here on out that people like me will vote for anyone but a Trump type delegate ? They are destroying their liberal chances for a long time.
Why should we vote for these types of people ? The Gop should step in and fix the problem. They will have to go join the democrats.
Whoa Nellie, we need the Senate to have any chance of a Conservative Court. No guarantee we will get one even if we keep the Senate but impossible if we don't.
I will never support another candidate who isn’t Trump like. Free the delegates as they call it is the same as stealing the votes. We are that these people are actually more corrupt than the democrats. I smell a Bush.
Mostly because it generates a couple billion in spending which directly helps the corrupt media.
Selfish people unhappy with the Primary results.
The voters shouldn’t count, but the delegates elected on a whim should count more than the million of voters. These people are so evil, words cannot express it. We have to find out who these people are, so we can exclude them from now on.
Hey GOPe! Listen up! If y’all want to collectively put a loaded gun in your mouth, have it.
But be advised:WE THE PEOPLE WILL PULL THE TRIGGER!!
Go Ahead, Try Us!!!!
G*d Damn pentulant children!
I want to take names and make certain that their political dreams get CRUSHED forever.
Bummer deal. GOP should have been more attentive to America, then.
Where are the preemptive counter lawsuits?? Why always defense?? Tea Party should have had 10 lawsuits prepared already.
Quit giving money to groups who’s track record only plays defense.
Oh, I agree there’s no reason to vote for them. But if all we do is pout in a corner, it doesn’t hurt them at all. They are perfectly happy to be a minority or reflective of the donks. I’m sure they hope we won’t vote because we embarrass them. The GOP prefers the Anti-Trumpers to us, so they aren’t going to do a thing. They don’t need our donations. They do fine with the money they get from big special interests.
I don’t really have an alternative, though. A separate party makes us just as irrelevant as withdrawing does. While we aren’t compelled to participate in our own abuse, we need to do something if we want representation.
I guess I was hoping someone had a positive idea.
Three of those votes to ignore the constitution were from women that a Republican Senate put in place.
HAd the GOP fought this hard Obama would have not been able to get Obamacare or his immigration plans enacted.
More proof that we have one party.
After Trump I shall never vote GOP again.
