I’ve thought for a long time that a thirst for truth is the most valuable possession anyone can have, and no one can steal it from you. A person of good character, when discovering a belief is untrue, will be humble enough to admit it - “I was wrong, and now I’m learning the truth - good!”
Sometimes it may sting to realized how wrong I was, but the relief of the burden by now underestanding the truth is well worth it.
People who refuse to look at facts and thus cling to lies are unbearable to be around, in Real Life or onilne.

I think the diseducators try. They tell the kids, “All good people believe X; don’t even think about anything else, and don’t listen to anything else.”
