I think the fact that he continues to meet with the faith leaders is very encouraging. Does Paul Ryan do that? Did Minion? And there is power in the fervent and effectual prayer of a righteous man (or woman).
This is not a new thing Many of the evangelists have been friends / colleagues for years. Some for decades. Trump keeps his spiritual life separate and personal. Just like his acts of kindness.
He did something for the town of Turnberry. It was installing cable or Wifi or something like that for the entire community. It was briefly mentioned today. In fact it is always just a comment. But the community benefited not just from the renovation of a crumbling landmark and its new spark into the local economy. Their lives have changed in a positive way.
