People still have opinions, but many decent people self-censor and no longer discuss or even admit politically incorrect views in public.

TV Reporter: What is your opinion on immigration?
Citizen: I agree with the politically correct viewpoint.

TV Reporter: What is your opinion on transgender rights?
Citizen: I agree with the politically correct viewpoint.

TV Reporter: Don't you have any opinions of your own?
Citizen: Yes. But I don't agree with them.
