If you follow the trends...the youth vote went like two to one to stay in the EU. In most rural areas of Europe (UK too)...a lot of young people go and get educated or trade...and they leave the rural areas...preferring urban zones for more jobs and lively atmosphere. Their belief is that jobs were at stake and they voted because of the job threat.

Same way for Scotland voting two-to-one to stay in....they saw a fair amount of EU money which came in various forms to the region and felt they were better off under the EU.

I don’t see any corruption or cheating on the election....seems like they ran a decent episode, and it was fairly close.

Yes it does highlight some serious divisions in British society - the disparity in voting patters was very marked. Inner London was as much as 80% remain. Some other regions as much s 70% the other way.
