I am not really good on the history of the Falklands but were they ever under the sovereignty of Argentina?

If Argentina was serious they’d be sending settlers and then demand a vote.
Worked for Kosovo.

Other than the Spanish-American War, I can’t think of another war that was executed flawlessly and reasserted dominance than the 1982 Falkland Islands War.

Fernandez-Kirchner left Argentina and absolute mess. A failed state. She rattled sabers over the Falklands but knew better than try and re-take them. And now one of Argentina’s biggest backers, Chavez, is dead and Venezuela is a failed state, I don’t think Macri will waste time/resources trying to invade Falklands. He seemed quite promising during recent 60 Minutes interview.

Translation...Argentina's leaders want to divert attention from how horrible things are domestically.

I took a photo of 3 British Frigates entering Norfolk during the war. I have been looking for it for a few months with no luck.
I am sure one of them must have been the Sheffield. Anyway the fact that they were probably refueling and resupplying makes it clear that we supported them.

The negotiations happened when Argentina fought a war to take the Falklands and LOST.
Too bad, so sad.

Time to let go of the last crumbles of their long-ago-lost empire. They should let go of Ulster too.

I think the Exocet hitting the Sheffield had reverberations worldwide.
I bet navies everywhere began to question ship protection.

Recovering sovereignty of the Falkland Islands remains a permanent and unrelinquished objective of the Argentine people, the countrys foreign minister said Thursday Well that's a phony objective - you can't "recover" something that was never yours to begin with. Argentina never, ever had sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. They've never even inhabited them!
