The civil war was not about slavery and never will be. Of course it was. It is central to every sub-argument that any lost causer makes. Money, culture, historical precedent, geography, "states-rights" - they all exist as a factor because slavery was a component.

And yet you still can't address the fact that the North was getting 90% of the money from exports instead of the 28% they earned.
