I did not know there had been a remake.
There wasn’t a remake per se, the Doolittle Raid (or at least a highly fictionalized version of it) was included in Michael Bay’s “Pearl Harbor”
With Alec Baldwin playing Jimmy Doolittle. Enough said.
I believe the reference is to the movie “Pearl Harbor” with Alec Baldwin playing Doolittle. Terrible movie. Only saving grace was Kate Beckinsale as the love interest. It also had the horrible Ben Affleck. Will never watch again.
It wasn’t a remake by title, but the 2001 film ‘Pearl Harbor’ contained a highly rescripted version of the Doolittle Raid with (choke-cough-puke) Alec Baldwin as Lt Colonel Jimmy Doolittle.
That lost me right there.
