Acceptable Standards going DOWN, three floors, five floors, bargain basement level, soon to be in the sub-basement annex.

If some dingbat decides he's really a woman, does he have to retake and pass all the tests after he's gone through hormone therapy and had his manhood removed?
I hope so.

It's obvious that the Military-Industrial complex and the Hetero-Normative, patriarchal, good old boys network is working overtime to prevent these smaller, weaker women from their rightful place alongside the big strong male Marines.
Remember, diversity is our strength.
Is a sarcasm tag necessary?

Why do we even need the Marines anymore? The attorney general said we need to treat the terrorists with love and compassion.

Nope. They just wont be marines.
Let them take over noncombat logisics roles and free up guys to fight. But let em fill out the same litle cards guys do. No big deal.

My son reports to basic for the Marines in October. He has been working his butt off and can already pass this test. He informed me yesterday that he talked his current drill Sargent into teaching him hand to hand combat one on one twice a week for an hour at a time. Is dedication is ferocious.

I was active in the Marine Corps during the early 1980s. The physical requirements were very demanding. We took PFTs every quarter. To get the top score, we had to run three miles in under 18 minutes, do 80 sit-ups in two minutes and do 20 pull-ups (not as easy as it sounds).
I got a perfect score once - and I think it was because my sit-up partner double counted a few of my sit-ups.

That’s okay. The men Marines will carry their packs for them. /s

"All recruits to the Marines are required to carry out pull-ups, ammunition-can lifts, a three-mile run and combat maneuvers before they can be considered for combat duty."
Those are not the PT test requirements.

Actually, they would. ...and that’s why women have no place in combat units.

To get the top score, we had to run three miles in under 18 minutes ...In my prime of youth, I found a single six minute mile to be a challenge. I guess I could do 5:40 or so. Well I ran cross-country, maybe 2.5 miles in 15 minutes. Heh, that's right on the button! Well, I think I clocked in at 14 something, but geez ...
