I do not like the teleprompter. I’ve watched and attended too many of his live speeches and the teleprompter presentation is not smooth, is distracting from the vibrant Trump we normally see. What do others think, who haven’t seen him live or watched many of his non-teleprompter speeches?

Excellent point and accurate assessment.

However, there were specific reasons why Trump was 100% deliberate here and utilized teleprompters in this speech. Trump was not looking for "smooth or vibrant" here. He wanted to make sure all his points were heard and not miss any of it. In addition, even the venue where he gave this speech was very planned and deliberate to ensure no unnecessary interruptions or distractions.
