I had the same feeling as you when I lived in Southern California.
It made me uptight when I was stuck beneath an overpass somewhere, waiting for a light to change or stuck in a traffic jam on a freeway in a similar situation. I thought. “It would be just my luck to have a major earthquake hit right now and have this overpass come crashing down on top of me!”
Yikes!! Yeh....it’s a wonder any of us are on the roadways anymore! Hang in there and have a great day!
