Understand that you are not typical.

Concur. In part, my fairly large quantity of ammunition stockage was begun as a political response to the *Million Mom March* of gun control propagandists, with the intention of acquiring and maintaining a one million round answer. I am not quite there yet, but of course, their numbers were never anywhere near what they claimed.

And I am aware of at least three folks in my general area with far more ammo than I maintain...and statewide, at least a half-dozen more, one being a minister by trade.

I'd suspect that you're right about those 50% of AR owners, but would suspect the other 50% would more than make up for them. I've seen an awful lot of AR parts shot well beyond their service lives and replaced for more of the same at more than one of my local gun shops.

And, of course, in troubled times if there's any shooting in quantity, many of those rounds expended will result in the availability of a new rifle with ammunition just laying on the ground waiting for someone to pick it up and use it, the previous owner no longer having any interest or use for those things of this world.

Good to hear that. I’m also working on my supply, and you’re never quite done.

I concur with your last paragraph.
