I was thinking about that the other day. So many of our establishment politicians do the same. Why? Saudi money?

In the GOPe case my bet is money. That and Political Correctness.
In Obama’s case, he grew up in Muslim Indonesia and he’s a Muslim sympathizer. He’s appointed Muslims to many important positions and any career gov’t worker who is critical of Islam risks getting fired.
