My husband cut out sugar for awhile and lost all his extra weight-he said the best part was that food tasted better. It was as though sugar dulled his taste buds. Probably there was an overgrowth of yeast in his system. He took probiotics and grapefruit seed extract while eliminating sugar.

Sadly, like me, he is off the wagon. Due to a fairly recent job loss, we are both back doing physical labor. He went from teaching to starting his own construction company and I went from being a stay at home mom to waitressing. Talk about a midlife change-but it counts as exercise! He was always active as a coach and doing construction work part time. I, however, chased kids and managed the house. Never sat down but didn’t spend hours at a time walking as fast as I can while carrying heavy pasta dishes. At 42 I have definition in my triceps again :-). I suppose we are working off the really bad effects of sugar!

I did the same thing. I had been exercising daily, but recently staring drinking a few hard ciders a day and then came the pizza, etc. It doesn’t take long to put the weight back on. This thread is motivating me to get back to the gym ASAP.
